Evangelism

St. Matthew's seeks to be an open and welcoming church
and to equip the people of the parish to share their
faith with others.

Specific activities include identifying and greeting
all visitors, providing visitors with a welcome bag of
information and a gift, and helping create resources
that assist visitors in participating in our worship
service.

Our new Foyers program organizes interested
parishioners into small groups who meet for dinner in
one another's homes 3-4 times. Participants will get
the opportunity to meet a variety of people from the
parish as they rotate groups. A special effort is
made to mix newcomers and longer time members in the
groups.

St. Matthew's has just completed our first Via Media
program. We seek to use a variety of programs for
adults on Sunday mornings, during special seasons of
the year and at other times that will equip members to
discuss their faith with one another and those outside
the church.
