St. Matthew’s Choir & Bells
These two groups help to provide the music for St. Matthew's 10:30 a.m. Sunday service. The Choir sings weekly from September thru May, and the Bells play monthly during the same time period.
St. Matthew's has an extensive library of music, ranging from the great classical composers to spirituals and contemporary works. The Bells perform with three octaves of Malmark Bells. The church is fortunate to have a two-manual van Daalen tracker organ as well as a Roland keyboard synthesizer.
During the months of September thru May, the Choir rehearses every Wednesday evening from 7:00 p.m. to 8:15 p.m., while the Bells' rehearsal is on Tuesday evenings from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. (both rehearsals are held at St. Matthew’s). All singers and bell players, from high school age on up, are encouraged to join.
